    Default AEC wall openings

I suspect I know the answer to this, but I'd sure like to be wrong:

Is there any way to insert a plain-old opening/cut-out in an AEC wall?

I'm modelling a window that is close to the stock hung window, but I need mullions in the upper sash and not the lower. I don't think I can create this from the variables for the AEC window. I can turn it into a mesh and do it pretty easily, but then my window opening doesn't clean up automatically. It would be oh-so-handy if I could just define an opening in the AEC wall to accompany my modelled window...is there any way to do this without doing a Boolean operation?

draw a window in it then in the properties section make that window non rendereble at all. it will not show, not cast shadows, not do anything but help with the geometry making.
nice isn't it? The simplest solutions are sometimes harder to find...

Oh, that's splendid! Makes it so much easier if I need to move windows around...many thanks.
