Well I've plunged into design finally. I find though, that when I design something it usually turns out to be symmetrical. I guess thats not always bad, but for me its more of just a lack of real design experience & my mind cannot come up with any really great asymmetrical ideas.
So here is what I have so far. I like it because it will be nice & open, but part of me wonders why I am going to do it like this since you will only be able to see about half of it in the rendering. Sure I can animate it, but I don't want to be showing off the same thing twice in a 20 second animation.
I still need to design the window walls. I wish I had more experience with glass systems, but I don't, which will make it a little difficult. I would however, like to use some nice shapes in the window wall that will create interesting shadows, which I hope to animate later on if I get that far.
There is a recessed opening at the ceiling surrounding the elevator corridor. I might do something fun with lights & materials there. Also there is an opening around the elevator at the ground level which will let you see down to a pool of water below. That won't carry through on the still image, so again I will have to do something with lights & materials to highlight that. OR, I could make a giant fountain that flows from the ceiling to the bottom level...eh, maybe not - boring!
Any comments, concerns, or violent disagreements are certainly welcome! Thanks.

I think I am about to pull a complete 180. My first design just wasn't really exciting me. This new one is putting a smile on my face thinking about all the possibilities. It's not really anything crazy, but I already feel more comfortable with this idea than the other one.
