Vray 1.4 to Max 6

Currently I'm using Vray 1.09 with max 6 now I'm installing / upgrading
my Vray to 1.4 however my installation cannot proceed because an
error message showing " you are using 3DS max6, Vray 1.4 requires
3DS max 7 to continue installation".

Is Vray 1.4 compatible only with Max 7?

Im thinking of upgrading also...and I have viz 2005..is that compatible?

And what are the differences with both of those versions?

I use the latest vray beta with max 6 and its working fine..... you just need to download the correct vray version. there are separete versions for max 6 and 7. (and probably yet another version for Viz, not sure about that though)
