I've moved this thread from the "Athlons in Production" before that thread got too big. ;)

Here is the OpenGL tester. I don't think it's been online for several years.

OpenGL Tester

Run the test and post your results here. Be sure to post all of the information that is generated, so that equal comparrisons can be made.

Make sure you run the test window at 400 x 400 and do not have anything covering the window while testing

System #2

Windows 2000 SP2

Dual 1900+ MP with 1024 megs of PC2100 Mushkin

Quadro DCC

Driver version: 21.83

OpenGL: 1.30

Desktop: 1280x1024x32

WireTea 60

Flattea 60

Shadedtea 60

Wiredisk 60

Flatdisk 60

shadeddisk 60

Err. No matter what I did, no matter what settings I changed, the DCC ran it at 60 fps. Extremely consistently I might add. The ti 4400 jumped the fps around a bit, from 77 to 83 to 78 etc. The DCC just jumped right to 60 and stayed there.

I think we need a more stressful test. I think I heard the ti 4400 snoring while I ran it.

Greg make sure you post the window size of the test window. I ran at 400 x 400 the default. You can push the card more by going full screen with the test window, but the problem is that the info dialog will cover the geomery and give higher than expected results.

Gainward GF4 4600, 300/650 128 ram

P III 1GHz (133 fsb) 512 MB crucial pc133 SDRAM

Win2k pro sp2

drivers 28.32 (Gainward)

ogl 1.3.1

Test1: dual/single monitors, OGL on 1 monitor (1280x1024x32 100 Hz single/double - same result):

TeapotWire 84

TeapotFlat 57

Teapotshaded 56

DiskWire 101

DiskFlat 102

DiskShaded 101

Test 2: dual monitors 1280x1024x32 100 Hz with "enable advanced multiple monitors" (results are same for both):

TeapotWire 51

TeapotFlat 50

Teapotshaded 49

DiskWire 100

DiskFlat 101

DiskShaded 100

BTW slight card overclocking doesn't make a difference, too much overclocking results in some polygons shaded incorrectly and eventual freeze - with the same framerate.

IRS sent me a request for additional documents instead of a refund - that athalon will have to wait.

Jeff/Greg,

Here are mine using the reference NVIDIA Quadro2 Pro card (64Mb)

Computer:Tyan MP with AthlonMP 1600+ duals (BIOS 1.04){Home built}

OGL test size: 400x400 size using NVIDIA 28.32 (with AGP registry fix to avoid 'multipe_IRP complete_requests' BSOD's).

OGl version: 1.2

Screen res: 1280x960x32

Teapot: Wireframe: 72 fps

Flat: 64/65fps

Shaded: 58 fps

Disk: Wireframe: 72fps

Flat: 72 fps

Shaded: 72 fps

Yes full screen and 400x400 is the same. This reminds me that we can use the LS Viewer as well and use a standard .ls file and rotate around? Didn't that thing have an fps indicator as well? We need to decide on the screen size standard... :) This will probably give a better perspective or the performance of each card huh?

Just a question... If I run the test @ 32bit color depth, oglinfo says GL_RENDERER: Generic GDI, GL_Version: 1.1.0, wether if I run the test @ 16bit it says GL_RENDERER: Quadro 2MXR/AGP/3DNOW, GL_Version: 1.3.0 ? It sounds a bit confusing...
