I have a problem with Image Sampler. While I’m using high subdivision the building is losing its sharpness. While I’m using low subdivisions its looks normal, but then glass curtain walls are losing its quality. In this image I used

Fixed rate: subd =4 , Building looks soft and the glass curtain walls looks rough.

While I used Fixed rate subdivision=6 , glass curtain walls looks well, but then building was too soft.

I used other ones they are also makes buildings soft.

How I can control it? Pls help.

I would try changing the anti-alliasing filter you are using. Catmull-Rom and Mitchel-Netravalli work best for exterior renderings. Also, I would use an adaptive subdivision for the Vray anti alliasing.

Thanks.

But I used here Catmull Rom, but it lost its sharpness, because of fixed rate sub.=4.

In this image I used:

1. very high GI

2. Fixed rate=4, Rand

3. Object outline

4. G-Buffer=1.3

5. Enviroment

6. QMC Sampler amount=0.1, noise threshold=0,001

image is too small, can you post a bigger render? i think the problem lies somewhere with the filter

1-st image

I used here Cartmol rol, but it lost its sharpness, because of fixed rate sub.=4.

In 1-st image I used:

1. very high GI

2. Fixed rate=4, Rand

3. Object outline

4. G-Buffer=1.3

5. Enviroment

6. QMC Sampler amount=0.1, noise threshold=0,001

7. Filter = Catmull-Rom

In 2-nd image I used:

1. very high GI

2. Adaptive subdivision min rate =0, max rate=3

Threshold=0.001, Multipass

3. Object outline

4. G-Buffer=1.3

5. Enviroment
