Top 5 with reasons Not in order:

"Idiot Wind" - Dylan. Best F.U. song ever. Great break up song. So personal. Listened to this hundreds of time when I was in traveling.

"Ripple" - Greatful Dead. This is the best song to sing to your kids. Hands down. Janes addiction did a great cover.

"Flower" - Liz Phair. Sorry but this is the sexiest song ever. Raunchy as hell. Marry the woman who puts this on a mix tape. I did.

"To Live is to Fly"/ "If I need you"/ "No Lonesome Tune" - Townes Van Zandt. Best I have been around and I know what real love is not sappy romantic songs.

"Washing of the Water" - Peter Gabriel. Best get lost in/ get you out of depression song.

Finally "If I had a Boat" - Lyle Lovett. Because If I had I boat I would get a pony so I could ride it on my boat. Why because I want a pony and a boat!

And because I need to put Tom Waits somewhere - Best Album to get lost in a foreign counrty: Bone Machine. Scary as hell.
