importing Microstation files into 3DS Max5

I am trying to import Microstation files in 3Ds max5, I know Bentley have it on their wish list to include an export option in later releases of MS but does anyone have a work around of what would be the best way to successfully import models form MS to Max?

I am not overly sure as its my client who is using it and he has only been using it since Feb this year so I am doing a bit of routing around to help him out, I think the problem is that there are so many ways of exporting the models out, at the moment they are DWG files but they come in very jagged, not smooth corners etc, its almost like when in Maya you can convert a nurbs surface to a polygon you can do it in a number of specified poly's, otherwise again the finished result looks jagged

 

I have just sent a file to Bently in holland and tech support are looking at it at the moment, fingers crossed, If I get any luck I will post a reply
