The_architect06 Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 am really getting slower renders whenever there is an update i think version 1.09 was the fastest.. for example i rendered an image with the 1.09 in 55 sec & when i rendered same scene on the latest update it took me 3.32 min with lower settings on the same pc... i only do my animation in scanline now as it is more time consuming... Tim Nelson Posted August 22, 2006 Share Posted August 22, 2006 Well you shouldn't use the same settings from the old version in the new version as a lot of the coding has changed considerably. The qmc sampler has changed a lot, so you can now get by with lower settings & samples. I don't know all the details, but you need to realize that you cannot compare the speed of different versions just by rendering the exact same scene in both.
