is there a different/better cg tree you can place in the corner? it appears quite "cg", while the rest of the scene has achieved decent photorealism.

What is this rendered in?

Theres something amazingly realistic about parts of these images... im thinking the uneven anti-aliasing really adds to the image in this case. I would suggest some displacement on the stonework on the left, as well as toning down the red in the image just a little...

Really good stuff though, im very impressed.

I dont suppose you would share your Anti-Aliasing settings would you? Im really interested in seeing what you do to get that those photographic 'imperfections' !
