This a work recently finished. A Planetarium in Brasília, Brazil. Views of the main entrance lobby with cafeteria, a double height room, and an external view with real surroundings. I'd love to hear your critics and comments.
Work done with Mental Ray. |

It looks like there are some dark areas in your exterior rendering, does seem like there i any GI going on. Are you using FG?? The materials like great and are mapped well, but the lighting and shadowing can use a little bit more work. Perhaps if you post your lighting set-up, further help can be attained.

Nice pics, lad!
I have to agree that those peeps are terrible, though. The guy on the first one aking a picture either has one leg a lot shorter than the other or is not matching the perspective. Of course, it's probably #2 ;-). Anyway, the advice is to stay away from this kind of photographic peeps. They never match the perspective nor the lighting, so..... |

I aggree with you guys. Personally, I don't place people on the images, but when the clients are architects (I'm an architect too), they always ask for them, to give the sense of scale... I'll try posting my lighting settings, as well as the images without the people so you can give me advice, folks.
Thanks for the c&c. Thiago |

I know how hard it's to convince the client not to put people on the images... but since we have to put then I think we should try the best to give a more natural look at it. Also, we can put people not too close to the camera so it won't appear more than it's need.
I think the the major problem in you people is their lighting ad shadows (within the person and projected ones). Try, in photoshop, to highlight the side of the person where the light arrives and burn the other side to give a more natural look. I'm sending 2 examples images that I've made and I had to put people 'cause the client said so. |
