Default Glass Reflections

Hello,

I am new to Vray and I'm having real trouble with setting up a glass material for a building, and also a sky environment.

I cant seem to get the glass to reflect the sky properly.

I have attached a sample scene I am testing.

Could anyone suggest what i am doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

While that's a mess you have where.. I am sure there is a glass tutorial somewhere, but quickly:
1. Use enviroment map in Enviroment section of Vray settings. Both Skylight and Reflection. (Advisable to use VrayHDRI map type)
2. Glass material - near to white in reflect, fresnel reflects on, locked off, IOR can vary. Refract - near to white. Also check reflect on back side in options rollout.
that's just a possible solution

there is and efective method if your buildings glass is one glass object, u can use the bitmap directly on your reflection map, if its more than one glass object u can also use a plane with the desire reflection map infront of your building and with invisible to camera checked, this are stage solutions, u can also go with the method that sokratas mentioned
