Jeff
It would be nice to know about marketing strategy,
eg: advertising in google or magazine, and how it affects the point of sale and if they really worth the penny.

Salary, salary, salary, esp. in Montreal.

i think salary based in-depth on skills ect (eg. knowladge of software apps, qualification, age , experience ect) at the moment i don't know where my salary should be, all i know is that its a bit... under par (i feel)

We've had a salary survey online for quite some time. Results can be found here: http://forums.cgarchitect.com/16006-...ry-survey.html

I'd love to see something on what people want/expect from their tools. Do people want it to be biased or unbiased? Do they want more organic modeling tools? Predefined materials (plastic, wood, etc)? Parametric modeling tools?
Cheers!

My blog - "There are only 700 people in the world. If you meet someone you didn't know and never see that person again, he or she was probably part of the Matrix."

Thanx Jeff, and for the link to the industry survey.
So, i am trying to figure out what the average salary is here in 'Western Europe' or 'Benelux' area, or do we just take the median salary range as described in the link to the article. ' http://forums.cgarchitect.com/26846-...ry-survey.html '
Is that right? $40-50,000
And what constitutes to being "average" in the work place - just "competency"?
i'd like more info on architectural visualisation.tools software and hardware, trends, different strategies, personell qualification etc...
thank u.

I'd like to find out more about 'pricing' as opposed to 'salary' in different regions of the world.. how much do you charge for stills/animations..how do you structure your pricing system? Is competition mainly price based, or do clients understand different 'levels' of quality / pricing?
