Tommy L Posted October 21, 2007 Share Posted October 21, 2007 Well, Ive bought myself a nice big (old) 18/12 wacom. Its a UD-1218-RE. Its serial, so I also picked up a Belkin F5U103 Serial port adapter, which plugs into the USB port. Ive downloaded the driver for the Belkin serial port and it is successfully installed. Problem is: when I try and install the wacom the install software cannot find the wacom. The status light is on and it turns green when I use the stylus and I rust the guy I bought it from. Ghan Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 Seems to me that the driver installation software is listening to the serial port and not the USB port. Quick fix. Get an expansion card with serial connections on it. Not so quick fix. Search the internet for modified drivers or contact Wacom.
