We want to make our house plans available to the subs, venders, mother, ect.

What format would you suggest that all can read, won't be to slow and can be printed to scale. The set is 20+ pages on C paper.

Also we want to maintain a project log on line where everyone see the plans, change orders, add comments, ect.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Bob

PDFs wouldn't allow for markup's etc. unless the viewer had the full version of Acrobat though. If you are using Autocad then the .dwf format might be the way to go. Autodesk Design Review is used to view these files and it is a free download from the Autodesk site.

The benefit of this is that you can make comments / markup drawings, take measurements from drawings and make prints. Basically everything except edit the original information.

Worth a look. Can also handle 3d models too, either outputed from Autocad or 3ds max. Viewer can zoom, rotate and even select your preset camera views. Also you can turn on/off layers as well.
