    Default Vray crashing error messages

    I've been working on the same model for a while now, and it's begining to get quite big and complicated.

    It was rendering fine with Vray until it started showing up these error messages and then crashing, usually between building caustics photon map and calculating light cache:

    warning: Subpixel color mapping is on: rendered result may have incorrect brightness.

    Warning: Scene bounding box is too large, possible raycast errors

    Error: UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Rendering frame Last marker is at .\src\material.cpp, line 1670: VrayMtl: shade[] {2}

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    You can try the followings
    1. check the map size you are using if they are too large that will cause.
    2.If the file size is too big - this will be a cause.
    3. Some time RPC's materials.
    4. Put the file in 0,0,0 position

    They sound like good suggestions thanks i'll give them a try.

    Just checked; the file size is only 18mb so it's probably not that.

    My hunch is that it's either to do with the maps (size and quantity) or with the lighting setup.

    By the way, what do you mean by this exactly?...;

    Putty, you can also try to reduce the size of the Render Bucket you are using currently. For example instead o 96 or 128 you can bring it down to 48 or 64, under Vray: System -> Render Region Division. This solves this problem in most cases. Let me know.

    Ok thanks i'll definitely try that.

    Do you think it's mainly to do with the spec of my computer though?...

    32bit duo core processor with 2 gig of RAM...
