ok.. here we go.

My visitor's centre will celebrate the phalic symbol as a tribute to mars, the god of war. The centre will be underground with a landscaped cascading terrace towards the ocean waves, while the suspended podium will be aligned with the tower and sun to get magnificent views and silhouettes around sunset / sunrise.

The structure introduced is to be very detailed yet minimalistic, so as to eccentuate, and not take away from, the grandeur of this gift to the god. Lighting is going to play an exceptional role in this celebration.

I've decided on land use and general camera orientation as opposed to angle, but will start developing my schematics and design detail before i pick the exact final angle.

sounds very poetic! I cant see the first image on my computer , but I am curious, what is that suspended curved wavelike structure ?!

That curved structure is a place holder for mechanically opening ceiling...closed off during the day, and open at night to light up the tower and provide grand 'ant-eye' perpectives of the tower shooting up into the skies.

yes hello you =) Its been a while!

well, I dont know much about the tower, but hopefully it won't affect the lighthouses night job correct?! Is the lighthouse working or is it just a monumental tourist attraction?

Yes, Yasmin, in my design The original lighthouse will be completely functional AND lit up in a creative way =)

There's a chance for very dynamic composition. I like light, dainty constuctions. Conception looks good to me.

so well here we go again... more developments...i've figured out the entrance area, main visitors building, cascading promenade, structure and podium eratics.

I'm happy with the placement of the buildings, structures and land use, and although it is rather huge, the grandness is essential for the concept i'm after!


now i'm really rolling my sleeves up and digging into design detail.. still too early to figure out exact angle to be used, as i'm having fun experimenting with different views

You know if you look at the image as a whole with the terrain it looks like a large ship. oooh I love the phallic glass structure wanting to erect!! hmmm you literally meant "phallic symbol as a tribute to mars"!
