Default pawel mysiorek - final

The aim was to create a realistic project with a proper, reasonable scale with a respect to the lighthouse. I think tourist center shouldn’t be too large because it's subordinate to the lighthouse which is main tourist attraction in the area.
Presented center is build into the slope so that it becomes an integral part of environment. In this case balance between natural elements of surrounding and architecture is kept.
Simplicity is the main guideline of this project.
Building has an observation deck from which, one can watch the sea and beach below.
Glass roof makes possible to watch lighthouse from inside, sitting in cafe. Movable blinds are to protect visitors against sweltering sun.

awesome, so much detail so much going on, everyone in the image has there own story to tell about why they are there. I love the guy checking out the girl in the window on the right (not sure if was intentional ).
The guy comng out with the satchel looks a bit like columbo too which has got to be a bonus

This has got to be one of my favourite designs for the centre. It works very well with the site and looks like it could actually be built. Top modelling too!

My architect girlfriend has picked it out as her favourite too (apart from mine obviously )

Well Done!

Love it - very real. I like the scale too - not too overpowering. How were the foreground cliffs and grass done? CG or photo?

Nice design-as you and others have said, it's ambitious but not unreasonable. Respects the surrounding area, and serves the tower-but stands on it's own two feet as a recognisable building. The viewing platform out front is a nice idea-just so long as it didn't cast a shadow onto the entryway.
On a purely practical point (and speaking as an idiot), how would you avoid the large amount of glass acting as a magnifying glass and boiling everybody? I'm presuming glass that tints according to sun-but as I say, I'm an idiot! Cheers-nice work.

Ok, le's get the dirty business out of the way first

I like your people's story, as paul said, but not their flatness.. too 2D at the moment! i mean i realize that in itself is a challenge, but it seems to me you could have spent more photoshop time colour washing, saturating them in and cleaning corners.

I think if you chose an alternate sun angle, it would have produced a much more interesting shadow effect..especially with all that detailed geometry you go going on.

Other than that, I have to congratulate you on an ingenius structure, a very practical and eco-friendly design, a great angle and some nice post touches there. Defintely one mof my favourite entries! well done Pawel! thumbs up

Great work! Like I said in my last comment last night I was wondering how you were gonna pull this one off as you were one of my favorite qualification entries. Although I think you're idea is great and your image is magnificent and so realistic, I only have one concern is I do not feel the visitors museum/restaurant has a conversation nor a connection with the tower, I could imagine this building to fit anywhere. It would be nice if you allowed them to speak to one another rather than I feel they are turning their backs away! But regardless,, its looks really good! Good job!
