I just got back. Has anyone ever been? Its an interesting place.

I spent 5 months in India and 1 month in Nepal. This was about 14 years ago. I loved it.

I went there for 1 month in order to help with a "humanitary project". So didn't see a lot of cg industry ^^ But very interesting place

I had the opportunity to briefly travel across India this year. We traveled first class so I may be looking through rose tinted glasses; But it was a fascinating place. The gap between rich and poor is even greater than in South Africa. The upper class are so rich it puts the rest of the world to shame, i'm talking palaces and helicopters instead of cars and the poor are lucky to have the clothes on their back. There is a massive middle class, just like you and I. The roads are insane, especially in Jaipur - but i didn't see and accidents, We also visited some of the palaces which are architectural master pieces. The food is also great, not the curry we are used too! The people are also accommodating and generally very polite and friendly. I would visit India (not the tourist places like Goa etc) for an experience and not a vacation.
