Render Region in Vray

The setup have changed now in Max 2009.

So how do i get to render a region with vray?

We purchased a copy of RP Manager recently , only getting to grips with it, but looks very good, for camera and lighting setups.

hey does anyone know any way of returning to the old style o frender regioning like in max 2008. this new thing in max 2009 especially when rendering with vray is getting me nervous

If you want to get your render region back you can do the following:

 

1. create your own toolbar

2. search for "edit render region" in the list of actions and drag it into you new toolbar. (Dont forget to save your new CUI) if you want you can give it some nice button instead of the text.

 

now you have a button for the "edit render region". There is no need to pop up the max frame buffer anymore.

 

By the way, if you right click on your viewport menu then you can also select edit render region.

Hi, you can actually also drag and drop it next to the render buttons. In this way you have it back in the old spot. This was also a pain in the ass for me. But this way works.....
