maxs Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 hi, i have a dell precision t7400 with an quadrofx4600, xp64-bit, 3dsmax9-64bit. i am totally frustrated as i cant use the performance of the directx viewport driver as i get crashes every 5 minutes when working in max . when i switch to open gl everything runs stable,but the viewport performance is slow, especially when adapt. degred. is impossible (for example when i zoom with the mousescrollwheel) i downloaded and installed the latest videocarddrivers from the dell homepage- with no result. i would be very glad if someone has a solution, how i can fix that probelm - or how i can optimize the viewport performance in open gl Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Slinger Posted June 23, 2008 Share Posted June 23, 2008 Using drivers from nvidia is ok...Dell can't hold the use of up-to-date nvidia drivers against you for any warranty issues, so don't worry.
