Sky Background for Vray renders

I have tried to place a hemisphere and then map a sky on to it, but have not had any pleasing results, the sky is too dark, and not very clear.

 

The evermotion exterior dvd have stunning skies ,how do they do it?

 

Anybody got advise or a sample file I can have to see the settings.

If it's a still just comp it in in post, otherwise I think you can put your map in a vraylight mat and then adjust the multiplier.

I generally do it in Photshop using the alpha channel.

But it would be easier to have it all in as in the evermotion images.

Is the sky a hemispherical image?
