Error loading bitmap

I saved my scene yesterday and I thought it was fine, this morning I tried to open but this message appears "Error loading Bitmap" and I cannot open my scene.

 

I then tried to open the autoback files, but they also are corrupted.

 

Anyone who has had this problem before, and can guide me in what to do:confused:

Try and merge your old scene into a fresh file.

 

If you continue to have problems, you should try merging the old file bit by bit and if you hit an error then you should be able to determine which is the problem geometry/map etc.

Yeah That is what I did at the end, I merged my whole scene into a new one, and everything semms to be working fine.

Good to hear. It's interesting that this error occured even after a restart of max as I also get this error sometimes when the computer is struggling and max needs a restart but it often goes away once some of my RAM is freed up.
