Photoshop Rendering Technique

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could provide me some assistance in achieving a certain type of rendering style. I understand it's a lot of photoshop and using blending, transparencies, glows, etc, but I'm not quite sure how to accurately achieve the effect.

Since I cannot post links as I am a new member and have not made 10 or more posts yet, I'll have to direct you to a few sites by explaining where to go (hope this isn't too much trouble for everyone.

Here are some examples:

www.bustler.net > go to older posts at the bottom > find the article title 'Italian Architect to Design New House of Arts and Culture in Beirut' there are a few non-photorealistic images in here that I am interested in

a lot of the morphosis renders are essentially the look I am going for. You can take a loot at some of their work at www.morphopedia.com > projects > Date > and take a look at Taipei Performing Arts Center, Phare Tower, New Academic Building for The Cooper Union, Giant Group Campus, New Orleans National Jazz Center, Palenque at Centro JVC

The morphosis renderings seem to be the style that I am most interested in. A lot of a sort of glowing, transparent, and bright light effect. Non photorealistic I would say.

I would imagine some of it is using a 3d modeling application (which I use) but I was wondering what post work would be necessary in photoshop to create these types of effects. Can anyone give me some advice or maybe point me towards a tutorial?

Thanks,

Matt

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for. But there are some interviews here on cgarchitect that semi-talk about photoshop renderings.
