Yup, RTFM!!! lol :)

You're right tho. i've grown up with 3dstudio all my working career, and switched over to Cinema 4D in January this year.

Reason? well it has the best rendering tools on the market IMHO. super fast raytracing, it does radiosity and caustics, and makes even Max 5's rendering capabilitys look pitifull.

I dont find it that intuative, but after a couple of weeks' practive it will start to come second nature.

in my advice - stick with it, you definately wont regret it!

tee-hee, yup, not intuetive...

from the top menu OBJECTS > SCENE > CAMERA

then in the CAMERA tab in the viewport make sure PERSPECTIVE and EDIT CAMERA are ticked, then in the SCENE CAMERA submenu select your camera.

to alter the camera's focal length, double click on the camera icon in the stack on the r/h side.

phew!

I disagree... I think Cinema has the most intuitive interface I've come across. Once you're used to a particular system, anything different will seem difficult. Someone who learned on Cinema would find 3DS' interface confusing and counter-intuitive. And Lightwave? Sheesh!
