Default Relink Bitmaps v2.0 - Relinks missing files

CGArchitects,
This is my first post on the site, I've been in the CGTalk community for some time, but I'm excited to be a part of this community.

I've recently re-written a script I wrote years ago called "Relink Bitmaps" and I wanted to release it to you all as well.

"Relink Bitmaps" is a script to easily relink missing files (Bitmaps, VRayMeshes, Mental Ray Proxies, VRayHDRI, IES, etc) when they change directories or when you move computers, check out the short video tutorial below for more detailed information. This script will save you time and money.

Relink Bitmaps webpage:
(In my signature since I can't post links yet!, but soon...)

Tested thoroughly with (32-bit and 64-bit): Max 2010, Max 2009, Max 2008, Max 9 (service pack 1+)

Features:
[*] All 3dsmax supported Bitmap Texture types
[*] (new) Relinks Mental Ray Proxy files
[*] (new) Relinks VRay Proxies (.vrmesh)
[*] (new) Relinks VRayHDRI files
[*] (new) Relinks IES files (including VRayIES files)
[*] (new) Automatically checks for script updates and new versions
[*] 250% speed increase from previous versions
[*]Command-line mode available for automating repetative tasks (see documentation on the website)
[*]Configurable default user options saving button clicks and wasted time

(Yes...it does relink VRayMesh, VRayHDRI, Mental Ray Proxies!) (finally!)

This tool is available to the community for free, Let me know what you think.

Be well everyone and thanks for having me,
- Colin

Yay, I had packaged your old one almost as is into a struct and set of functions so that i can use it in other scripts a while back to batch through a ton of files, good news there

One more item thats sometimes useful, if you could RelinkBitmaps on selected objects that would be nice. thats why i'd encapsulated the old version, for use in an asset library type script

I'll add support for the command line mode for selecting the objects you just want to relink, though I didn't ever forsee this mode of operation, why would you only want to relink certain objects? Look for an update next week, if you are using 2.0 then you'll automatically see the new version when it's posted.

Best,
Colin

If anyone would like to write a short testimonial for the script, I would like to include it on my website with a link to your site. If you would care to submit one, please it to me at csenne20@student.scad.edu.

Thank you,
Colin
