How to import an DXF file into LW

Hi any one I had try o import a DXf file into LW but everytime this come like in 2D only my 3D model dosen´t show up proprpely I´m using the modeler to do that. Can you tell me how to import a DX file or if sould I use another way to make it.

i think its better to use another way, where do you get your DXF from ? I would choose 3DS instead, or obj file format.

Ok I will try that.

 

I export my DWG file to a DXF file and than I try import it to LW.

 

So, If see better use other way please send me how can I do it.

You have to use DXF R13 or lower to make it work, I think is R13. Newtek has not updated these importers for a long time. Exporting 3ds from ACAD also works.

But now I got a little problem, the file become into a unic layer and it like my file is to heave to run in my computer. Should I take any previous care before load in my 3DS file into LW?
