problem with importing files from autocad architectural to 3ds max 2009

hello people,

 

i modeled house in autocad architectural 2008 but i have some problems with importing it to 3d max 2009. House is modeled in external references almost for each structure for exmp. walls, floors, facade, windows, beams etc. My problem is when i import external references to 3d max it doesnt recognize elevation and everything comes out at same elvation.

if someone else had same issues i would be greatful to help me solve this problem. thnx

Linking 3d models from autocad into max is the process we use but never xref models.

 

If you want to keep models in seperate cad files link link each file into max seperately..... or insert all cad files into one file and then link.
