    Default mapping on bended objects

    hi there, i have the problem, that the mapping coordinates do not follow the bended objects of the street(curb, paving, asphaltmapwith lanes-which i want to assign...)
    i got the tip to create the objects with loft, but all i get is the rendering you see.(i use box in uvw-modifier)

    There's no image attached, but what you have to do is with the loft itself there are uvw modifiers, so you can apply your material and then adjust the tiling in the loft. The only trick is that you may have to rotate your texture map(s) in the material editor.

    In the unwrap pannel, you can use a spline as a map pattern. this can lead you to some decent result with pre-existing geometry.

    If you are using the loft, the uv are in the loft directly, do not box-map it.

    thanks for your replies, using the mapping in the loft works fine for me.
    thanks a lot for your help.
    will try the hint with the unwrap pannel when i finished work, never tried it before.
