hmm...

quit ur maximize mode. drag ur 3D max covered both monitor.

make ur task bar hide while inactive if u want to.

 

then right click on right top corner of any viewport. choose configure>layout> pick the 2nd layout which only got 2 viewport.

 

then ctrl+x enter expert mode.

not exactly what u want i know, but perhaps close enough to what u looking for.

I have twin 22" ViewSonic screens and 3ds looked HUUUUGE! hehehhe

im glad it helps. but seriously i dont know how to use expert mode. at the moment im using dual monitor too. main monitor show my 3D max with all viewports, 2nd monitor i put all my material editor window, F10, curve editor window etc etc. haha...

 

if i know how to use expert mode perhaps i'll consider to do this too. lol.

 

damn... im in rush to get 10 replies now. wanna create a new topic for my vray problem, but dont wanna spam the place. lol.
