Anybody that uses MS and Max will know of this problem.

If you save your dgn file as dwg, and all drawings are drawn by the World coordinates system, ie the correct Northings and Easting.

At present you have relocate the drawing to 0,0,0 in microstation before you bring it into max, other wise the drawings goes haywire.

Dose anybody know of script in MS or Max that will do this autmatically please.

It would a great help and a time saver.

Many thanks.

Hi Phil

What I used to do was create a new file in microstation and named something to do with 0,0. Then I would reference in the file and move the ref to 0,0. That way you don't mess up anything and it updates if needed. You can also create another model and self xref in the drawing and again move the ref keeps everything in one file.

To move to 0,0 you use the keyin x,y=0,0

Hope this helps ya

Tommy

Is that you all the way over there in Dublin, Ireland.

I was waiting for all the Yanks to wake up and give me the answer.

Thanks, the Make new file and ref into it worked, merge in to master and then 3 point rotate.

Pain to have to go through this everytime someone updates a drawing.

Thanks again.

Talk to ya soon.
