Hi there. I plan model a house and render it, but then i need to place this render into a photo. so basically I have to create a 'how it would look' representation.

What would be the best way to go about this so the house would fit in with the angles of the image?

I will be using 3DS Max and either vray or mental ray.

Any Advice??

THANKS

There are several good tutorials online regarding photo-matching. Here is one from Evermotion.org that is quite good. You could always follow the tutorial for camera matching in the 3Ds MAX help menu. A tutorial is a good way to go but depending on the photo you may have to just match it by eye.

I were thinking of the exact same tutorial. I don't think you'll find a better one.

Hi,

I haven't done this type of work before, however- If you are familiar with photoshop you could create a simple perspective grid (series of lines) over the top of your background picture to help you eye ball the correct angles for the placement of your building. Import it into max and use it as a reference for you camera angles. Just an idea.

Cheers
