    Default Is there any possibility to open the higher version max file in lower version?

    Dear Friends,

    I had downloaded good stuffs and wanted to use it in my works.

    But I cudn't open that (But it showing the thumbnail).

    I have 3ds max 8. 3d objects should be higher than that.

    Plz help me guys.. thanx as advance.

    you can download the higher version as a trial version. convert the models to 3dsmax or obj and import them in the lower version

    Ask for it in another format, obj or fbx will do fine. Im not sure if the fbx importer works on Max8, but give AD's site a search.

    Has anyone found a way to do it? In maya, you can go into the file and rename it based on the version so you can open it. Has anyone heard of something similar in Max?
