how to detect which bit installer I used for 3dmax and vray

My vray rendering is slow on pro. laptop comparing to my office machine. I wonder if there is anything to do with 32bit/64bit installer issue.

 

I use 3dmax 9 and vray 1.5 but couldn't find which bit installer they are. Pls help.

 

Here is my sager laptop setting:

XP Pro. SP2/SP3

Nvidia Quadro FX1600M

Duo CPU T9300 @2.50GHz

3GB RAM

I would guess that there is a big executable or dll in the vray (perhaps /bin) folder. You could compare the sizes and date/time stamps on both machines. That might help you know if they are the same or different.

Doesnt the icon on the desktop say " 3D studio max X 64 bit" etc ?

in your render setup dialogue, on the settings tab under SYSTEM.....

 

turn on "show window" on the Vray log.... start a render and check the first line.
