Follow this link for a free Eulumdat to IES converter:

    http://www.helios32.com/resources.htm

The name of the executable is eulumcnv.exe

Thanks Ismael - I've been searching for such a converter!

Kyle - the one that you found does not seem to convert properly. The calculation results are very different between using an ldt file with Dialux, and the converted ies file with Luxicon.

The one that Ismael posted seems to convert well. Do you still need to know how to use it? It's a DOS program. Do you know DOS commands?

OK, I tried to post this once and it didn't seem to go through...trying again, scuse me if it ends up here twice...

Not sure which OS you are using - I'm using XP, so this is what I did....(I'm not a computer expert so please excuse me if I don't speak in "computer language")

Put eulumcnv.exe in the same folder as the .ldt files

    Go to Windows START menu

    Select RUN

Enter cmd in the "open" field
    A DOS window will open

At the C:\> prompt enter cd path\foldername
(cd tells DOS to change directory, path\foldername is the full path (without C:\) including the folder where you have the ldt files and exe file)

    Enter eulumcnv filename.ldt
A message will appear "IESNA file filename.ies written"

It appears that you can only convert a single file each time - I tried replacing the filename with *.ldt but it didn't work

Thank you very much for taking the time out to explain that to me. Your help is much appreciated.

    You gals can be complicated
Just locate the eulumcnv.exe in the windows explorer and than drag and drop a .ies file onto the icon. A converted .ltd file will be copied to the original location of the .ies file.
