Default Optimum export settings from Adobe Media Encoder

    Guys

I've posted something similar to this before but the result of that question was to use a 3rd party encoding program like Procoder.

However, i'm now faced with a situation where I can't use Procoder.

Instead the final video file will come from Media Encoder.

I have my sequence which I have finished editing. It's basically a screen recording of a webinar with some powerpoints added to front and back and a bit of minor editing.

In an ideal situation I'd export it as uncompressed quicktime and then run through procoder to get the final .wmv out and it usually looks excellent.

But I can't do this and I need a final file that doesn't require the user to download any additional codecs and that can be played in Windows Media Player.

Does anybody have any good guidelines and optimum settings that result in a good quality file that plays like I want it too? .wmv isn't a necesseity, just something that plays in media player without a codec and isn't a blurry mess.

    Cheers

turns out i did it in camtasia in the end. worked perfectly.

i just find it really frustrating that a program as simple/limited as camtasia has better output quality than an 'industry-standard' like program such as premiere.
