    Default RPC problem.

Can anyone tell me what causes the rpc trees in a scene to go purple and wierd? It looks like the renderer is confused by the alpha channel, but other of the same tree are coming out fine. The messed up ones tend to be located in clumps. There are about 400 rpc trees in the scene. Ill post the image in work in progress.
Any help would be much appreciated!
    Cheers, Tom.

I've noticed this happen when the computer hits it's peak in RAM and Virtual memory usage. Try deleting some of the RPC's and try again.

Do they all need to be RPC? Can you not make some simple 2D stand-ins for those in the distance?

I would agree....Check out Forest from www.itoosoft.com. There is a free version that works quite well, and for 400 trees, you'd be way better off using Forest for a lot of it.

If a lot of your trees are in the background you could even use your RPC's to generate horizon tree lines. There is a tutorial on Archvision's website for this.
