Devin Johnston Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 I just installed an insanely fast solid state drive, every program on my machine starts up within a couple of seconds except for Max. After I launch the program it takes 30 seconds or so before the splash screen even shows up, I don't even know if it's actually starting until then. Does anyone know why this takes so long, with my old hard drive it was easily 2 - 3 times longer to boot so I'm glad it's faster but I think it should be even faster than it is. Crazy Homeless Guy Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Not a solution, but on my SSD Max takes 24 seconds to launch to usable state, on my stripped RAID it takes ~17 to get to the Max interface, but aother ~18 before the interface becomes usable... not sure why that is. Maybe watch the task manager when you click the launch button and see if the 3dsmax.exe is showing up in the process list right away. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
