Quick Question: Converting Colors For LWF?

I have a ColorMunki that can grab a color from an object I scan. When I grab a color it lists it as an sRGB color value. I use LWF in 3ds Max + Vray. Do I need to convert that color value to work correctly in 3ds max or can I just plain type in that sRGB color value in the 3ds Max color picker?

yup....

BTW forgot to mention in the vraycolormap you'll see RGB values but they are float values not an 8bit RGB typical 255 value.....So don't try to enter your values there, instead click on the color swatch and then enter your RGB values into max's color selection dialog. It will update the float values in the vraycolormap.

As a side note, if you are working with a wide gamut monitor trying to sample colors and use them in Max pretty much makes the actual match go to shit. Not sure if it works better with the Color Munki plugin for max.

If you are working with a monitor that closely matches the sRGB space, then I think you will be fine. Or close enough to fine.
