Book Recommendations?

Does anyone have any advise on some great books to better educate myself with lighting and compositing? Nothing that would be software specific. Just something that has good coverage starting with basics. Thanks.

Well i recommend "digital Lighting and Rendering" from Jeremy Birn from New Riders (you know the ones with the short links).

Thanks guys. Hey Ingo, I did some test rendering with radiosity yesterday. Nothing but blotches until I used a high quality setting. I'll let you know how My Living Room turns out in about a week when it's done rendering!
