Hello;

I have been wanting to do some architectural subterranean greeky doric.

I have an old computer. I am frankly busted and have this old abacus FSDS 2.4 installed.

I thought posting some would be interesting for a browse. Maybe a follow the work in progress.

Starting to look like a monument of some sort?? (maybe a bit freudian???).

This is just the start and a way to introduce myself for a new member.

Yes.....I am using a scenery generator software from 2003 for Microsoft Flight simulator series.

I was asked to do some airport/city scenes for a friend.......I bought Abacus FSDS 1.xxx ....got a upgrade to 2.x for a discount......in 2003

I tried to download some newer rendering freeware software.......but I am on a 2003 budget and computer......and DSL .... crash here ....crash there....download timeout ....etc...

FSDS works for basic ideas........maybe I should stick to concrete sidewalks and curb stops.

Drainage is always a problem with subterranean design..........

Haven't solved subterranean1 yet...and had a heavy rain

Yes....it is really basic

But ....

(here comes a I remember the good ole days......when we use to have to brush our teeth with a rock....)

For me in year 2002 and my Pentium II it seemed like a quick, inexpensive, and major leap..... compared to the old foamcore 1980's modeling technique

Yes...it may look like the discount computer game graphics from the late 1990's......

...the one you get free with a purchase of gum at the check out counter....

But....it something to look at ....a maybe tweek a thought or two......

Not to be too specific....

I have been lately in the Wyoming, Colorado, Montana area traveling and living. While driving I have had ideas of building on the plains and up against these ramparts and cliffs.

Granted, this is all US Bureau of Land Management Land....protected and preserved from ideas like mine.....

Project would be to build in this environment, but below the ground.

Wild Fire is a big problem here.......... Fallen rocks and rocks slides another, and Tornados.

Materials ...like concrete or Aerated Autoclaved Concrete I thought would work best.

There aren't alot of trees......and it is a high plains arid site.

I guess I am becoming part Praire Dog....or Fred Flintstone....Yabba Dabba Doo

Oh....I think it still part Freudian........I assure you it is seriously subconscious.....not intentional.......

But if you look closely....my cliffs look like a .....??? and the main entrance is a ????....accidental I swear.

Finally, Disclaimer....this is not a dooms day ....survivalist project....unless you personally want to make your own.......please no " Men in Black" knocking on my door.

Well....thanks for playing ...subterranean Concrete........

I should retire to posting in the Gallery.....

Parting shots of SeaRidge.....reduced column diameter and lowered the seaward one to breakup the monontony of a four post bed......

make your eye do more work on the shapes in front....
