Question about Populating scene with people

Hello everyone

I'm sure this had been covered here before, but for the lack of time I'll just go ahead and ask.

I'm working on a large project that visualizes a large exterior event. I need to populate the scene with a lot of sitting people(as diverse aspossible). Doing it in Photoshop is not an option, What is the best way,software wise, to tackle this?

Your only options in that case are to use 3d people or make billboards out of 2d people and place them in your scene.

Hi,
if your output is images, I think Photoshop is a valid option, you can Google for images pretty close to what you need and fix them from there,
if it is animation, again 2 options, you can use green screen people and distribute them around, or you can use scatter paint tool of Max and scatter bunch of 3D people, quick dirty but fast, you can also use any scattering tool such Carbon Scatter, Multyscatter, forest pack and similar.
Personally I used all of them, depending of the project.
