Exterior render - How to get nice reflections in glass, but not see the sky?

I am doing an exterior render/animation, and am having a hard time getting the glass to do what I want. Basically, I don’t want to see into the building, because it is empty. So I want a strong reflection. I have the reflection in the glass material at 100%, however, the reflection is not showing up. Probably because there is nothing for it to reflect.

I don’t really want to see a sky, because this is more of an abstract render, however I need something for the glass to reflect. So my question is, can I make the glass reflect a sky, but not see the actual sky in the render?

Problem:

Thanks for your help.

someone may have to correct me if im wrong, but you should be able to put an image or HDR image in the reflection tab if you go into the render setup, VRAY settings and under environment you will find 'reflection/refraction environment overide. Im pretty sure if you turn that on and place an image in that tab of the sky you want, it should reflect in the glass but not show up on the render as the actual sky as it wouldnt be in the environment overide.

I gave that a try, but nothing showed up in the glass. I might have not done it quite right, however. I'll play around with it some more.

Thanks!

Basically what you want is the glass to be more reflective than refractive. You need to deactivate the fresnel reflections and turn the refraction more close to black. And usually the difusse color is set to black when creating glass/mirror materials. After that you can play with the reflection glosiness a bit. I think that should work.

After that you can use the enviroment override, or simply put a plane with any texture you like in front of the glass (behind the camera)
