power failure with new machine 1-5-4-4

Recommended Posts

Hi people,

this is actually my first on the forums, so hello

the forums(you) helped me out dozen of time's.:)

thank you all for this.

but now i'm having a real strange issue with my new machine.

so i need your help.

I'll try to explain as good as possible what happens.

the first time i started the machine, everything was fine.

but after an hour the machine shuts down abrupt . an immediately starts up again.

then i get an windows improper shut down warning, so i do a clean shut down.

i thought about heat problems , but the temperature was 34 C°

but this scenario happened about tree times. and the interval was shorter. after about 10 minutes. it shuts down and gives some bleep warnings.

but now it wont start up at all. it just gives bleep warnings.

1-5-4-4

and

1-5-4-2

i did research on the code . and i found out it is a power problem.

so we tried an other power supply, but nothing changed.

ram checked : nothing there.

card checked : also nothing.

so we rebuild the computer (out of the case).

start with one processor , and it starts, second processor. it starts ok.

putting all back together , and the problem is back.

does anyone recognizes this problem?

or maybe have tips or hints?

system specifications

-Intel S2600COE

-Silent pro Hybrid 1050 Watt

-intel Xeon E5-2630 (2)

-zalman CNPS10X extreme (2)

-32 GB RAM (4*8)

-Geforce GTX 680

-creative sound blaster recon 3D

-intel 520 SSD 180 GB

-WD 1TB 64mb

maybe there is a device thats create's an conflict?

i dont know.

the people who build the machine cant find a solution.

If anyone could give a hint ,tip , solution...

thank you

kind regards

Tommy

Hi Tommy,

It happened to me number of times for all different reasons. After 1yr of purchase, my pc started giving beep sound and never used to start. There was a default in SMPS/PSU.After a month or so, same problem occured. My pc used to restart whenever i play games. So, this time it was my graphic card's fan.Once it was loose connection to hard drive that gave beep sound and never used to start.Recently it happened again and i found that my motherboard burnt out.Luckily, 2 days left my mobo's warranty to expire. They gave me different model with 1 yr warranty :).So test your motherboard & see if it works out for you.

Hope this helps,

Abhay.

Hi all,

thank you all for the replies . we managed to find the problem.

the problem was the processor cooling fans (zalman). very weird actually.

with the actually suggested coolers ( noctua) wouldnt work on the board. because there is no place enough to install them.

( at least the reseller told me) . so i had to use an other type.

but the problem with the coolers is when you attach them to the system.

that they can be locked to tight to the board, and then the processor gets pulled towards the cooler.

and this was the cause.

the coolers were locked to tight and deformed, pulling the processor a little bit out.

we tested it with the cooler in place but not attached. and it started perfectly.

then attached and the error was back.

it was a bit trail and error.

now it runs perfect, and the temperature stays around 36° (even with rendering)

maybe this will be a solution in the future for somebody.

kind regards

Tommy

Hi Riley,

i checked them and they are ok.

but after another search and lots of reading , i found out that this type of coolers are not 100% compatible.(found through wwweb)

at least for this type...

to be honest, i dont have this much knowledge in computers.

in these matters though.

for now

the machine works great .

grtz
