Does scaling down a very large scene help vray to render faster?

Hello

I am currently working on a very large interior scene (Inside a Mall) and need to render 2400 frames of walk through animation. I am using Vray to render the scene. I already set up the scene with materials and lights. Even have a camera path that goes from one end to the other.

At the moment each frame takes about 5 min. to render (1280x 720 frame size). My question is: If I scale down the whole scene 5 times or more, do I gain speed in rendering. I realize that I need to setup all lights again with lower values and re-create a new LC and IM for the scene. but before doing this (since it will take a long time) I was wondering if it will help speed up the rendering.

Please let me know

Regards

Fred
