Enabling 64Bit Rendering (Local computer only)

Yep, it will go around the 32 bit issue. Dont forget to turn up your Dynamic memory too if you have a lot of proxies and things like that.

 

One downside is that you will not see your LC pass, which most folks use as a preview, but just run a test render first before you final it.

Just a small point, but it is not the RAM that does the rendering, The ram is a buffer that passes the scene or parts of it to the CPU to do the rendering work. Thought it worth mentioning as sometimes people get annoyed if their RAM is not maxed out while rendering :) This merely means your scene is efficient and is a good thing!
