Vray water reflection?

I actually made this thread, only because of that I obviously can't post on my own thread:(

Hi Again, I know that I can be pretty terisome...

But I have done a quick try on the challenge, but why is the water reflecting the sand(plane)....?it looks pretty stupid:(

Hey Nichlas,

 

I assume you using a plane object for the water surface. Try giving it a thickness with shell or making a new water object using a box. Reflection and Refraction works best with thickness in the object. Hope this will help you..

Do you think that the water surface does not reflect? Not true.

These guys are right. It's going to happen.

 

If you want to cheat this and make the water see through at the depth you are looking at it from, you will want to both reduce the Fresnel and Increase the Refrection.

 

You can try ticking the reflect on backside box and use and HDRI which will make the plane equally as solid looking, but potentially give the water a different object to reflect. Maybe.
