Help with V-Ray 3 and 3ds max re: specular wet map

Hi!

I'm hoping someone here can steer me straight. I'm having an issue using a specular wet map with VraySkinMtl in V-Ray 3 and 3dsmax 2014.

If I create a material using VRayMtl and assign my specular map to the Reflect Map slot, light it with a Sun (or any other light for that matter) and render. I get the raindrop effect on the surface of the object.

Now if I create a material using VRaySkinMtl, no matter where I put the specular map, all I get is a standard glossy reflection. The rain drops are not present. I've tried assigning the map to the primary_specular_texture slot (refl1 color), etc. Nothing. I've played with various settings for reflection amount. Glossiness, etc.

Below is a cropped sample of the specular map (it's a copyrighted image so I don't want to post the whole thing).

Please let me know what other information you may need to assist. I'll be more than happy to provide it.
