But its nice to have so much power in a single machine if you want to save on license costs. By the way, the packaging sucks!! They should've provided a box made of golden leaf or something! Of course the CPU is ridiculously expensive... for some of us (including me). But people keep ignoring what Xeon CPUs bring to the table- crazy number of cores, ability to go for dual or quad CPU setups and other. Besides Xeons are traditionally catered towards companies, not individuals, and companies usually have more money to invest I for one, if money wasn't an issue, would have gotten the most powerful dual Xeons for my workstation instead of getting say the current king- i7-5960X and overclock the heck out of it. I would only use such CPU for V-Ray rendering and I am just getting fed up with distributed issues. One REALLY powerful workstation would do me good for stills and animations. Oh well, one can dream.
