Description:

I Came across an image by Valcucine Kitchens and just wanted to play around with the lighting and post production work. I've included the inspiration image along my WIP of the rendering. Curious to get some feedback. I'm not trying to copy the image, just using it for inspiration.

Off to a good start. I'm finding that camera placement can make a huge difference in how rooms are perceived. When looking at your reference image note the camera height and FOV and how it lays the room out in a horizontal format. Also the balance of light and dark areas in the composition. It looks like you are on the right track for the atmosphere. That's the part I think can be the most difficult. Keep up the good work.

Totally agree with all comments. I thought the higher FOV might make it a bit more interesting to be able to see stuff on the counters, but it just looks weird instead. I also think I need to adjust my camera setting a bit and switch up the aperture and shutter speed setting. Thanks guys!
