Basically we have a small render studio, rigth now we have 5 high end computers and two old pcs (just for photoshop and data). Each computer has its own library (same library) and separte projects, its quite a mess so we are looking to centralice our data. Someone recomended me a nas server. We are also thinking in making a raid with 4 disk in one of the high end pcs or buying a data server. Can someone point me in the rigth direction? the cheaper option of course is making the raid in one of the high end pcs (the older one) with a i7 3770k. Amen Posted April 23, 2016 Share Posted April 23, 2016 I am looking forward for one of those: Qnap TVS-682T or TVS-882T. it is future proof (10 gbe), you can install a virtual machine for license server and stuff, and nvme and ssd should make it fast enough.
